Frolicing In The 2009 Snow

2009 seems to be off to a slow start for me in the blogging world. We got about 7 inches of snow this week, this is far more than we are used to and the kids LOVE it.

Austin, Noah and Alanah are driving the quad with Dusty being pulled behind on his snowboard.
Alanah watches closely while dad gets on his snowboard...

The kids are trying to make an igloo. Josiah is finally getting the hang of it.
That's our living Christmas tree to the left, we'll be planting that in the Spring.

This was a nice end to our homeschooling day.

You should see what it takes to get all the kids bundled...8 gloves, 8 boots, 8 socks, 4 snow bibs, 4 jackets, 4 hats, 4 snow brick molds and a partridge in a pear tree. And that's all minus Kaianah because she's still to little.
The kids have a 25 minute minimum, they can't come back in before then, or it's just not worth it. It takes 15 minutes to get everyone ready, they aren't going out for 5 seconds and then coming back in!! No way :)

ha! I totally agree. However, my kids now think it is a bother to suit up after all the December snow that they played in. They never went out this week to play in the snow, I was appalled! They have no idea what they are taking for granted - kids! I kept trying to push them out and the declined. Maybe if we had a quad then they would hop out there.

How awesome! The snow looks so fun. That the only thing Imiss during winter is the snow. Then the cold dose not seem so bad. Making very great memories.
