~~Sanctus Real~~LEAD ME~~

Here's an awesome song by Sanctus Real from the album Pieces Of A Real Heart. Take a listen, it's the song playing right now.

Sanctus Real - “Lead Me”

I look around and see my wonderful life
Almost perfect from the outside
In picture frames I see my beautiful wife
Always smiling

But on the inside, I can hear her saying...
“Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can't
Don't leave me hungry for love

Chasing dreams, what about us?
Show me you're willing to fight
That I'm still the love of your life
I know we call this our home

But I still feel alone”
I see their faces, look in their innocent eyes
They're just children from the outside
I'm working hard, I tell myself they'll be fine

They're in independent
But on the inside, I can hear them saying...
“Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can't

Don't leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, but what about us?
Show me you're willing to fight
That I'm still the love of your life

I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone”
So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I'm called to be

Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won't You lead me?
To lead them with strong hands

To stand up when they can't
Don't want to leave them hungry for love,
Chasing things that I could give up
I'll show them I'm willing to fight

And give them the best of my life
So we can call this our home
Lead me, 'cause I can't do this alone
Father, lead me, 'cause I can't do this alone

great song, new to me, made me want to cry. I love that you share such good music. I have had "How He Loves Me" from the David Crowder Band running through my head all weekend, picked that up from you too!

Love you!

Heard this song on the radio a couple weeks ago and couldn't stop the tears. I briefly mentioned it to Kevin that same night and within a week he had bought the CD and surprised me with it when he came home that night from work.

I know it speaks to his heart even more than mine, but I am the one who wears my emotions on my sleeve. It reminds me of the incredible duty God has given our men and how I need to be supportive, a helpmeet in this journey. More tears again.

well said Tera! I need to pray more for my hubby and his duties and not just my wish list for him.

Leia, this is a great blog you've got! I've been meaning to email you via FB and ask you a few questions - about Homeschooling, your faith, living a country life. So different from the Leia I remember from next door and Nordhoff! ;) I'll email soon...

gosh, this song is haunting me - I wish it was true in my life, just so many blessings when a family is covered by a Godly leader.
