4th of July





Our 4th of July was celebrated with family and friends. Dusty had to work during the day and that night we had The Whitmans & The Wyatts over for a BBQ & fireworks. The three families together made 11 kids over for the day! Here's some pictures!

Generally when someone describes a "crunchy" person they are referring to earthy, granola, organic, hippy or tree-hugger etc. Usually, the association with a "crunchy" person is liberal. So a crunchy conservative is what it sounds like, a crunchy conservative verses a crunchy liberal.

Dusty and I read a book that we absolutely love called Crunchy Cons by Rod Dreher...the sub-title is "How Birkenstocked Burkeans, gun-loving organic gardeners, evangelical free-range farmers, hip homeschooling mamas, right-wing nature lovers and their diverse tribe of counterculture conservatives plan to save American (or at least the Republican Party)

Basically we are crunchy cons minus the Birkenstocks......
