What does the Word say a wife ought to be?
There are guidelines aplenty for someone like me.
A wife should be strong and make use of her mind,
Generous to others, and gentle and kind.
Early to rise, at the dawn of the day,
Feeding her family, hearing them pray.
Cooking and cleaning, not out of duty
But seeing her home as a dwelling of beauty.
Provided by God, as a gift she can treasure
Where work is a privilege, even a pleasure.
Using her talents to knit and to sew,
Supplying her family's needs as they grow.
A wife should be thrifty, hard-working and wise,
Displaying good sense in the goods that she buys.
In a marriage, the wife plays a diligent part
Where her husband is head and she is the heart.
A wife such as this is a gem beyond price,
Her husband has confidence in her advice.
And the woman who honours the Lord in her life
Will be praised by her husband, who'll honour his wife.

Love it! Would like to print it out all pretty and hang it in my house to remind me that is who I want to be.
I might have to add it to my blog!
